Dublin Bay Project - Ringsend WwTW

In late 1996 PH McCarthy, along with associated firms, was appointed by Dublin Corporation, as client advisor for the Dublin Bay Project. The project consisted of 4 principal contracts. The second and largest contract was for the design, construction and operation of a new wastewater treatment works. This contract involved the continued operation of the existing primary treatment works at Ringsend and its incorporation into a new secondary treatment works. The principal goal of the new treatment works was the production of an effluent which will satisfy the requirements of EU and Irish legislation. The new works has resulted in a very significant beneficial impact on the quality of water in Dublin Bay.
